Paramus Be Damned

There he gleamed and intimidated-
At your mother, no doubt,
In that fuzzy ol' picture frame,
Before making that passage to America--
In this lifetime by airplane; in another by crappy steamboat.
Either way - they loved and hated each other,
And the pixels were difficult to distinguish.

Later an acquaintance reflected fondly on your father;
He must've been hilarious when he didn't make you flee.
This particular acquaintance, however, is busy living out a familiar love hexagon.
