So "The L Word" comes on, therefore Movie Night At Heather's has about reached the time of "over for Jimbo". I head downstairs 223 and think - damn, it's cold, I should call Castle - which I do.
They'll be 10 minutes, so I'm waiting in the front doorway, witnessing the snow's vague spackle of the across the street church.
Suddenly I alternatively think of it as a 12:15 am school night once the sound of 2 kids jumps down the stairs towards my waiting location.
It's mostly muffled sounds of bragging.
The younger kid, maybe 10 and 3 ft. tall, emerges by my door. I help him get through it with his bike. He shouts back to his friend, "Ok about that downtown thing, but there're too many boys and i don't hop in no group." He hesitates, then continues outside, firmly closes the door, only to ring the buzzer, then yelling past my ear, urging his taller friend to bring the sweater and, you know, discuss matters further.
